Head and Neck Cancer
Academic Lead: Jasmine Handford
Clinical Area: Oncology
The current oncology registry for head and neck cancer patients lacks detailed clinical data, limiting its utility for in-depth analyses. The absence of critical information limits the ability to perform comprehensive analyses and derive meaningful insights for improved care strategies.
We developed an AI model to extract and analyse unstructured clinical data held in patient records. This enrichment process has added over 100 comorbidity and treatment features to the registry, significantly expanding its depth and utility.
The enriched dataset provides a robust foundation for high-dimensional analyses that can be combined with imaging and signal data to offer deeper insights into head and neck cancer. This comprehensive approach enhances research outcomes, guiding more effective treatment strategies and improving patient care.
